Prayers for Unity in Dyserth

Prayers for Christian Unity, Canon Robert Rowland reminded us in his address on 24th January, is well over 100 years old. This year’s service for the Week of Prayer was prepared by Christians in Germany who are commemorating 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the church door in Wittenberg.

Dyserth’s service this year was in the afternoon, a move which drew a larger congregation. We prayed, thought and sang together in Welsh and in English, and afterwords shared in bodily refreshment to complement our spiritual refreshment.

All three of our village ministers took part, along with members from each of the churches.
