Another Burns Night

For the fifteenth consecutive year Horeb has celebrated Scotland’s greatest poet. What started as a small gathering of folk from Horeb has become a regional event, with many coming from Rhyl, Shotton and Holywell churches, with others from the Food Coop and the village, a total of almost seventy – the maximum capacity of the Paterson Hall.

Once again Arthur Dawson piped the haggis (carried by David Whyler) in, and Colin adressed it in the traditional way. This year David Salsbury gave a great speech proposing the toast to the immortal memory of the Bard, and Horeb benefitted by £200.
